Mollys House is a "HOME AWAY FROM HOME"
Mollys House was originally a family home, carefully renovated into a children's setting whilst still retaining a home like atmosphere with timber floors, ornaments and artefacts, lamps, large bi folding doors, verandah's, gardens and a variety of surfaces and play spaces in which to play. Mollys House is reflective of a child's environment and done away with the institutionised style of childcare.
Mollys House only has 2 groups, so is delightfully small, with each group hosting their own outdoor space, sandpit, verandahs and playroom. This function allows for a full extension of the program across any day without the rush of sharing playgrounds with other age groups. The centre also has a sustainable environment garden and art space. Photo gallery
The centre and its mere size act as a gradual step between the home and formal school years. Children are able to move into a small care setting and build on knowledge and skills in preparation for formal schooling whilst still within a home like environment where play is valued as the primary vehicle for learning.
